Use these examples to help visualise your own headshots
first impressions count
You want your images to give the right first impression but what impression is that? It varies for every company but there are so many different styles and types of headshot to choose from it can be difficult to articulate what you like. Or sometimes even to know where to start! As your photographer (hopefully!), it's part of my job to help you work out what you need so I put together this blog post to help. Take a peek at some examples from my past client work to help you work out the sort of images you are looking for and don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions!
the classic - plain colour studio style
A neutral backdrop often white or grey. It allows your people to shine and is super versatile with many uses - website, LinkedIn headshots, presentations, speaking engagements - this style of portrait works in so many different places. Professional and classic.
environmental portraits
A more relaxed feeling posed image shot inside or outside but in a setting that suits your vibe. Could be your offices or communal areas, out on the street or park. This type of portrait is about extending the personality in your images a little further by including something that feels like you - authentic, unique and interesting.
documentary-style
This type of shoot aims to show your people in an unposed style of image. As if they've been caught unawares working, collaborating and interacting. Of course, most of these are created in a planned shoot with my and my client's direction. I have been known to wander many an office in search of interaction in a true documentary style but these more structured shoots give us better quality of final images and ensure diversity in gender, race and age. In the age of AI generated everything the authenticity of using the people who work at your organisation as models to illustrate your company's working style is joyously authentic, Wether you're looking for pictures to populate internal comms, print huge as lift decals or for website images these documentary style shoots are a fab solution.
