This year I had the pleasure of being the event photographer at The European Business Awards. This is a continent-wide celebration of the absolute best companies, recognising business excellence from all industry sectors, embracing businesses of all sizes and ages and from all European countries (yes, yes, I swiped that from their brochure!).
The accolade of being nominated and of winning is excellent PR and organising the awards themselves is a huge undertaking spanning countries and timezones. The year’s activities culminated in a day of networking, inspirational speeches, round-table discussions and Q+A sessions. This was followed by a lavish dinner, awards ceremony and party which went on until the early hours. As an event photographer I see a lot of functions on this scale and the lovely people behind the scenes of this one prove just what it takes to make it all come together perfectly.
The day-time portion of the proceedings was held at the beautiful Mansion House in Bank, one of the many venues run by the City of London group. I’ve experienced their beautiful venues before, namely Guildhall, when I shot a Q+A with Nick Clegg for Cicero, another client of mine, in their gorgeous Livery Hall venue.
For a function like The European Business Awards, professional photos are vital. In order to advertise, populate websites, brochures and advertising to bring in nominees, business leaders and influencers to the following year’s event, hiring an experienced event photographer really does make a difference. It’s not just about getting some nice snaps. The images are a crucial tool for presenting yourselves as the experienced, professional events company that you are. I take my role as your event photographer really seriously because I know how much work has gone into arranging something with such crazy logistics. My years of experience mean that my clients can relax in the knowledge that they’ll get extensive, full coverage, professional photography covering all aspects of their event. You’ve got other things to worry about so let me take care of the photography.
The evening’s festivities were held at the prestigious London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, and you can see more event photos from the celebrations by taking a look at the blog post of later in the day here.
